Ch.Rancho Gabriel Headliner,  Headliner's Silverbow Alura and Ch.Headliner Ddl Carrara

Always an admirer of the beauty and elegance of the Borzoi, we acquired a young bitch in 1979. Not knowing any better a breeding to a local champion resulted in a large litter most of which was lost to distemper. Of the three that survived we kept Zing, a beautiful dog with a horrible temperament, he provided our original foray into the dog show world.Zing.jpg (146646 bytes)

Wanting to do it right the next time led us to Lyle and Phydelma Gillette of Rancho Gabriel fame. We purchased a young puppy who went on to become Ch. Rancho Gabriel Headliner, our first champion. nicholas.jpg (184937 bytes)

A breeding to Rancho Gabriel Magic provided us with our first homebred champion, Ch. Headliners Ddl Carrara.Carrie.jpg (128344 bytes)

Several losses to bloat and a desire for a "wash and wear" breed eventually led us to salukis and whippets, however our love for our original breed will always remain.
